In accordance with New York Real Property Law § 442-h and the regulations of the New York Department of State (19 NYCRR 175.28), Sterea Realty Group LLC has adopted and published the following Standardized Operating Procedures for the sale of residential real property.
Prospective homebuyers
Prior to showing a prospective purchaser a property:
- Identification: We do not require prospective purchasers to show identification.
- Exclusive brokerage agreement: We do not require prospective purchasers to sign an exclusive brokerage agreement.
- Mortgage pre-approval: We do not require prospective purchasers to provide a mortgage pre-approval in order to be shown properties.
Please note: Although we may not require the above, a seller of real estate may require such information prior to showing a property and/or as part of any offer to purchase. Similar requirements may also apply in rental transactions or where imposed by a landlord, lender, or building.
